I come here and when I can get brunch I always get the breakfast calzone it's amazing and very filling. I did try the bread selection it was good one croissant had chocolate in it. The service is very good and responsive plus knowledgeable about the dishes they serve. As far as the ambience theres TVs with sports on and if it's crowded probably medium loud. Definitely worth a visit
A larger establishment for Metuchen, Wood Stack has a good amount of seating without feeling cramped (I still highly recommend a reservation, especially on the weekend). It has an outdoorsy upscale vibe, like eating at a restaurant in a posh town located in the mountains. The bread and pasta are made onsite and you can definitely tell, it's fresh, doughy, and the pasta is perfectly toothsome. I've been here a few times and I love the Rigatoni Norma and recently tried the Strozzpreti which was divine. I also enjoy their kale salad, and this past visit we had the rice balls to share which were the perfect size for an appetizer and full of flavor and texture. The service is always friendly and the waitstaff has always been attentive anytime I've been here.
A great location. I've been here maybe 5 times, never realized I didn't review it. Large location with a modern pizza bar style. Great for parties, fast friendly staff, and the food is always good. Since I have twice been here for a party, I have had most of the menu & it's always good. Definitely add this place to your list of stops. It has limited street parking on a side street, & lot parking when you can get it. They're popular, so the lot tends to fill up fast. I came on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch & had to wait for a spot in the lot, & even then got lucky. Grades: Maple Wings- A+ Peppa Pig- A+
First time and lovvveee the ambiance!! Great food options but stuck to what we came for, PIZZA and was not disappointed! Sat at the bar and bartenders were attentive and super nice, would check out if you haven't. They also had brunch!
Literally love their pizza and pasta and literally love the way that their drinks are with cane sugar. The service is good and the waiters/waitresses are always super nice and helpful with the menu. The overall vibe of the restaurant is good to hangout with friends/family.
